We can carry out all aspects of upgrading or replacing your existing changing facilities as well as complete new builds. This will ensure complete compliance with Building Regulations and terms of Planning Permissions. This includes the complete internal fit out from Heating to Lighting, from Ventilation to Plumbing and connections with Power & Water supplies. We take great pride in those extra little finishing touches, though naturally much of this will be determined by the size of your budget. You can rest assured that Sports Ground Development Ltd will work closely with you to provide the optimal solution for your spend
Essentials Covered Standing
Our most popular covered standing option is our Essentials stand, which is 2.1 metre high back and 2 metre deep roof. There is NO need for you to go to the expense of paying for a base as the stand is supported by 1 metre deep sockets to the rear. The beams are 120mm x 80mm for added stability and this stand comes in 3 metre sections at a cost of £450 + VAT per linear metre
Whatever the size of ground you are looking to light and whether it is for training or match purposes, we will have access to a solution for you that takes into account important areas such as location, access to power supply and existing infrastructure. Furthermore lights from our suppliers can come with up to a 10-year guarantee on the lux reading. We have partnerships with 5 different floodlight providers from the UK & United States with both fixed and hinged column solutions like those shown here at Sheppey United in Kent that were erected in December 2014. We will recommend either the use of a suppliers own installation team or even our own carefully selected electricians & ground work staff that have erected lights and carried out lamp replacements at more than a dozen grounds
Spectator Accommodation / Grandstands
On Spectator accommodation much will depend on your appetite for permanent fixtures or temporary stands, both of which we can provide or arrange, based on your planning approval which is required for any fixed building more than 2 metres high. Your budget will also determine the nature of accommodation and if you want concrete stepped bases and the nature of the back, roof and frontage in respect of the weather – we would always recommend that the stand faces out to the east where possible to escape the worst of both the sun and prevailing weather in the UK. We will also provide spaces for Disabled spectators and Press seating as required. All of the stands we provide access to are fully compliant with the Safety at Sports Grounds "Green Guide" such as spacing between seats and requirements for crash barriers on standing accommodation. We will work with you in the space available to make sure your stands are suitable for the level at which you participate and are possibly looking to move towards.
The most recent addition to our product range is a 250 seated stand that we put in at Kettering Town, who play in the National League North and are now working with a club that will provide the same 250 seats but with a 2 storey building to the rear which will incorporate glass fronted hospitality boxes
We will continue to offer our popular "lift & drop" alternatives which are 3 metres deep and are lifted off the side of a hi-ab vehicle. Our covered standing on 4 rows is effectively the seated stand but without the seats, which makes for easy conversion between the 2
We have also been working with Everton Ladies as they return to the city of Liverpool at Walton Park, where we have converted covered standing into a 250 seat stand and are placing bespoke bolt ons either end to make a 500 seat solution. Effectively whatever you want us to do, we will do!
Walkways & Pitch Barriers
Our contractors can provide a concrete pathway along as many sides of your pitch as required, or in areas where spectators will regularly walk. These need to be 1 metre wide as a minimum and of a bound material. We can also look at other options where the path is of a nature that it can’t be permanent, such as where other sports such as Cricket are played.
In order to meet FA & Safety Guidelines, pitch barriers need to be 1.1 meters high to provide spectator comfort and player safety. These are made from galvanized steel and we include the option to infill the barrier which is required at Step 4 in the non-league football pyramid
Again, much will depend on your budget as these can be constructed of wood, Perspex type Plexiglas, aluminium or steel based like those shown with either bench or bucket seating and fixed to a concrete base with space in front for a technical area and Sports Ground Development have access to solution from numerous suppliers in the UK & beyond. These can be made for either 8 people or 11 on 2 rows like those in the picture and can also come with VIP Racing Car style seats
